Dr. Justine Connolly
Welcome! I am a Postdoctoral Fellow and Nationally Certified School Psychologist. I have nearly 14 years of experience serving children, adolescents, young adults, and families from diverse backgrounds and across a variety of settings including public schools, alternative education, residential treatment centers, in-patient hospitals, and outpatient clinics. I have extensive experience in conducting comprehensive psychological assessments and providing therapeutic treatment in the areas of attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, anxiety, depression, learning disorders, autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disabilities, conduct disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, childhood trauma, family conflicts, anger management, and various other mental health concerns.
I worked in Pasco County School District in Land O’ Lakes, Florida for 7 years as a school psychologist. During my time in the school district, I specialized in delivering school-based mental health services to children and adolescents from various socioeconomic, culturally, and linguistically diverse backgrounds that were experiencing cognitive and developmental delays, learning issues, internalizing and externalizing behaviors, executive functioning difficulties, social skill deficits, family conflict, and involved in foster care and the juvenile justice system.
As a clinician I consider myself an eclectic style psychologist that utilizes various treatment and intervention modalities to address each individual client’s mental health needs. I specialize in utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), behavior therapy, family therapy, and social skills training. I deliver these forms of treatment and intervention through individual, family, and small group counseling.
I help assist my clients from a holistic perspective by taking a collaborative approach with the client, physicians, family members, and other providers in order to identify an effective treatment plan. I strive to provide my clients with a safe, healthy, and supportive environment that offers empirically-based and culturally-competent services. My goal is to help you and/or your child develop resilience so that you can ultimately bounce back from life obstacles in order to THRIVE throughout life.
Best Wishes,
