Hi I’m Liz! I’m so glad you’re here.

Do you feel like you have too much on your plate, or like you’re constantly trying to meet expectations that don’t feel realistic? Maybe you know something needs to change, but you’re not quite sure what that change should look like, or where to even start. If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone. Many of the people I work with come to therapy worrying about academic or career success, stuck in unhelpful thought patterns, struggling with their identity, navigating a hard relationship, or simply unsure of what the next step should be. Sometimes it’s not one big thing, it’s the weight of a lot of small things happening all at once. My goal in our time together is to help quiet some of that noise, and help you find greater peace, clarity, and confidence in the decisions you’re making.

As a licensed therapist in Illinois and Florida, I’m experienced in helping teens and young adults navigate depression, anxiety, relationships, identity, and life transitions. In previous roles, I’ve worked with adolescents and families in hospitals, homes, juvenile justice facilities, and private practice, which means I’ve seen a wide range of what young people carry, and I don’t rattle easily. I take a strengths-based, person-centered approach to therapy, which means I believe you already have real strengths, even if they’re hard to see right now. I tailor sessions to each person and draw from approaches including CBT, DBT, narrative therapy, and mindfulness, and we’ll work together to find strategies that actually make sense for your life, not just strategies that sound good on paper.

I create a space where you can be yourself, talk about the hard stuff, laugh when it helps, and never feel judged. You don’t need to have everything figured out. You don’t even need to know exactly what’s wrong. You just need a place to start. I would be honored to guide you along your journey.

Education & Training
  • Bachelor of Arts in Special Education, Georgia College
  • Master of Arts in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling, University of South Florida
  • Certification: Qualified Supervisor

When I’m not at work, you can usually find me attempting (and occasionally succeeding) to grow vegetables, going for a run, or curled up with a book, historical fiction is my weakness. I love exploring the outdoors and wandering around a farmer’s market on a slow morning. At the end of the day, I’m a simple-things person: a good cup of coffee, a good book, and being surrounded by the people I love.
